Safe foods for healthy heart and love life

A debate is currently going on in the media on the adverse effect of meats, alcohol and chocolate containing saturated fats on libido, performance and fertility among the sizable population (>30%) of young married. Performance problems evident among the old and aged people few decades ago are being faced by people in the age group of above 40 years. Brian Clement, the co-director of the Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach is reported to attribute libido and performance issues in both men and women to weakened cell system due to contaminants like heavy metals, food toxins, water pollutants, pesticides etc.

According to Dr Brian Clement, Viagra that is abused as a recreational drug by men between 20-28 years age group over-stimulates the libido, leaves users to face performance problems after attaining 40 or above 40 age. Clement suggests to get rid of prevailing old myths about aphrodisiacs like oysters just due to resemblance with reproductive organs and skip foods containing saturated fats and cholesterol such as bacon, chocolate, sausage etc. since plaque is quickly formed due to small size of arteries of reproductive organs of both genders. Formation of plaque poses performance and fertility problems.

He further advises to avoid Soy-based products due to presence of high content of estrogen that can increase the risk of disease and testosterone in women.
Dr Clement's list of top foods for healthy love life includes mackerel, salmon and wild salmon etc. rich in omega-3 fatty acids. These foods keep blood moving and enhance blood circulation to various important body parts. Other foods considered good for enhancing libido and leading a healthy love life include carrots, green leafy vegetables, avocados and watermelons.
